Biography:
Olivier Deblecker has teaching activities at Bachelor’s and Master’s levels in Electrical Power Engineering. Covered topics concern electrical machines (including special machines and actuators), power electronics and adjustable-speed drives, electric vehicles, as well as production and storage in distribution networks. Since 2018, he is also the academic coordinator of the joint certificate programme in Energy Electronics gathering partners from 4 Belgian universities and two of the major companies in Belgium (Alstom, Thalès Alenia Space) involved in that field.

Olivier Deblecker’s research activities include the following main topics: power electronic systems and, more particularly, dc-dc power converters for space and auxiliary railway power supply applications (optimal design and control), modelling of electromagnetic systems operating at intermediate frequencies, Wireless Power Transfer (electric vehicle battery charging), Micro-grids (mainly power quality aspects) and Net zero energy buildings and districts (energy management, scheduling and control). He currently supervises two PhD students on these topics. He is the author or co-author of 7 book chapters, more than fifty papers in referenced journals and over 100 articles in proceedings of international conferences.
